Return Policy

Southern Saurian Return & Refund Policy

Effective Date: June 29, 2026

At Southern Saurian, we take pride in providing high-quality, authentic alligator skulls, European mounts, alligator teeth, and related products. Because many of our items are natural, handmade, or custom prepared, please review our return policy carefully before making a purchase.


Returns

We accept returns on eligible, non-custom items within 14 days of delivery.

To qualify for a return, the item must:

  • Be in its original condition.
  • Be unused and unmodified.
  • Include all original packaging (if applicable).
  • Be free of damage caused after delivery.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error.


Custom Orders

Custom European mounts, skull cleaning services, restored specimens, and other personalized items are non-refundable once work has begun.

This includes:

  • Customer-supplied alligator skulls
  • Skull cleaning services
  • Custom whitening
  • Restoration work
  • Special-order specimens

Natural Variations

Every skull, tooth, hide, and other wildlife specimen is unique.

Natural variations such as:

  • Tooth size
  • Bone texture
  • Color
  • Minor imperfections
  • Small asymmetries
  • Natural wear

are expected and are not considered defects.


Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the item
  • Photos of the shipping box
  • Photos of the shipping label

If the damage occurred during shipping or we made an error, we will work with you to provide a replacement, repair, or refund when appropriate.


Lost Packages

Southern Saurian is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers.

If a package is marked as delivered but cannot be located, customers should first contact the shipping carrier. We will gladly assist with filing claims when applicable.


Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, you will be notified of the approval or denial of your refund.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return was caused by our mistake.


Exchanges

We only replace items that arrive damaged or if an incorrect item was shipped.

Because every wildlife specimen is unique, exchanges for a different skull or tooth may not be identical to the original item.


Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled before they have shipped.

Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be canceled and must follow the return process outlined above.

Custom orders cannot be canceled once work has begun.

Louisiana Wildlife Notice

Southern Saurian sells legally acquired wildlife specimens in accordance with applicable federal and state laws. Customers are responsible for ensuring that purchased items are legal to possess in their state or country before placing an order. International buyers are responsible for any import restrictions, permits, duties, taxes, or customs fees that may apply.
